32 Week Dr's Appointment

Today, I had my 32 week doctor's appointment. I measure perfect, 32cm, and baby Matthew's heart rate is great too, 152-156, he is becoming more mobile in my belly which I am loving! Everything else is going wonderfully thus far and I am super excited!!!

This weekend was wonderful! I got to babysit a beautiful 4 month old girl named Stella Rose. She was fabulous and a terrific baby. I enjoyed spending time with her and watching he smile, giggle and try and talk to you. She is very precious. Ryan enjoyed the time he was able to see her too. I babysat her at her place from after work on Friday to Late afternoon on Sunday.

Saturday, I took her to tunes for tots social at the ACAC, she enjoyed listening to the music and seeing all the other babies. My friend, Suzanne, and her boy, Owen, met us there too. Stella loved watching Owen jump and flirt with her. He is 5.5 months, so not much older. Then after the social Stella and I headed to the downtown mall for lunch. Stella and I did all the walking from her house in her stroller, it was nice to be able to walk her around. She is very good in her stroller and I think enjoys being outside. Suzanne, Owen, Stella and I met Ryan, my friend Katy and her boyfriend Michael for lunch at Rapture. And of course everyone fell in love with Owen and Stella. Stella slept pretty much the whole time while we ate since it was her nap time. Ryan enjoyed holding her every now and then too.

So, Katy is one of Kendra's friends from grade school and her brother, Jay, is one of my fiends from high school. I am sooo excited because Katy is moving here come August 1st. She of course has offered to sit for Matthew anytime. I am excited for her to meet him and Kendra is excited because when Matthew comes along Kendra will be here to see him and see Katy who she hasn't seen in forever. Katy was in town apartment hunting and found a great place in a nice location. Her boyfriend Michael is such a nice guy and I look forward to hanging out with them more when she moves into town!

That night Ryan and I just laid low at Stella's house. We actually watched the DVD, the Happiest Baby on the Block as seen on Dr. Phil's show. It was good and hopefully those techniques we learned from it will work for Matthew.

Sunday, Stella and I went to my 2nd shower, hosted by Heather and attended by Ryan's co-workers. Everyone enjoyed Stella there and we had a nice time. Then Stella and I headed back to her place for her afternoon nap and before you knew it her parents arrived.

Suzanne took some photos this weekend, so once I get those, I will have to post. Sorry for the long post, but my weekend was very fun and filled with adventure. :) Well be back on hopefully soon again!

Me & Matthew at 31 Weeks!

Baby Matthew and I are doing great! I feel great, some back pain here and there, but I really connot complain. He has been good to me and I love feeling all his little movements. The countdown is here 60days/9weeks or so till we get to meet him! We are sooo looking forward to it!

Last night we had dinner with the Platt's Ryan made Spaghetti with homemade sauce and Andy provided the garlic bread and salad. Suzanne and I just had to show up, it was delicious :) Today after work, I start my weekend babysitting beautiful 4 month old Stella Rose. She is a cutie and I am looking forward to having fun with her this weekend. It should be nice outside, so hopefully we will be taking a few walks and enjoying life. I am looking forward to my next shower too on Sunday!

1st Baby Shower Weekend

Friday night we did have dinner at the Platt's and then came home at a reasonable hour to get some sleep for Saturday. Saturday we slept in which was super nice and then Ryan did some yard work, washed Abby and his car, so it could be ready to be turned in on Monday. In the meantime, I made breakfast, did laundry and worked on getting Matthew's room somewhat straightened out, by giving away some items, trashing others and organizing the "to keep" bins and before I knew it, it was time for me to get ready for my 1st baby shower. The shower was at 2pm and held at the Platt's home, hosted by Suzanne and Erin. I really enjoyed it and they did a terrific job of putting it together. Below are just a few pictures and Suzanne is going to send me some more too, so I will have others to post in the near future.



After my shower, Ryan and I left to go pick up Kyle and then not too long after we headed out with the Platt's to meet Katie and Michael. We had a nice night out and I think Kyle enjoyed himself with our friends too. Kyle stayed with us Saturday and Sunday and then I had to say my goodbyes to him when I dropped him off at the airport on Monday. He will be back in a couple months though when Matthew is born with my mom and sis.

Sunday, we slept in again, I love taking advantage of this sleeping in :) Then we went to run errands and then off to church. After church Ryan grilled pork and chicken while I cooked some sides in the oven for us. Kyle had dinner with us too.

And now we are back to our regular weekly routine. Tonight I am babysitting a sweet 1 year old boy. And I am also babysitting this whole weekend for a 4 month old girl. She is super cute and fun to be with. I am looking forward to the experience with overnight and all. This weekend my friend Katy will be in town as well looking for a place to live for this upcoming year. She is moving here! :) So, we get to have lunch and Ryan gets to meet her too.

Well that is enough for now, hopefully we will be back on and I do need to get a few belly shots soon too.

We are finally back into our routine with work, pre-natal yoga and water classes, hanging out with the Platt's :) YEA! And Ryan with his workouts and teaching Tennis. Wednesday, we had our 30 week appointment, YEA!! I did find out after having taken the glucose testing twice I did finally pass with GREAT numbers!! Yippee :) I was elated when I heard that, so thank you for those of you who had us in your prayers. Matthew is still doing great, right on track with a heartbeat of 145 and my belly meauring right at 30cm for 30 weeks. Now we just have a little under 10 weeks to go! We need to get some furniture, so we can begin decorating his room. Ryan helped Kyle move out his things from his apartment on Wednesday and also moved out the guest room bed where Matthew will be. Maddie was sooo kind to store the bed for us in her house and then we will also be storing the extra dresser for that set as well. This way we hopefully will have plenty of room for Matthew and all his new things! Mom, we decided the purple room will stay as is, so you get your bed back :) Matthew's furniture I just do not think would have fit in the smaller room. Good for Ryan, I do not think he will have to paint now :) Well we are looking forward to all the fun stuff ahead. I have my FIRST shower tomorrow, so am looking forward to what fun things Matthew will get :) Tonight we will be hanging with the Platt's and I am looking forward to seeing baby Owen too :) More pictures of me and my belly should be coming soon.

The Week after Graduation plus Memorial Day Weekend

The week after his graduation. Kendra and Mom were still in town, but Ryan and I had to continue with our work schedules :( . They came with me and my female co-workers to a Emily Couric Luncheon at the Omni which was very good about women in leadership. Monday night I had swimming after work, Tuesday worked and then Yoga, Wednesday worked had lunch with Kendra, Kyle and Mom. Wednesday Ryan left for Baltimore for work and Wednesday night I had a couple girls over to watch the taped Bachelorette :) Yes, I still like these shows! Wednesday Kendra left and Thursday my mom had to leave :( Thursday night Ryan and I had our last of our birthing classes, hopefully we will remember somethings, we did get to see a real infant only a few hours old and learned how to bathe her too. She was very cute and sweet. After we got home we packed for Memorial Day Weekend and finally, Friday, after a long day of work, we left for the Hodge's Lakehouse. That was a great weekend which allowed me to get some much needed sleep. We really enjoyed ourselves and it was very nice and relaxing! Thank you Meredith and Randy for the invite!

Kyle's Graduation Weekend

Sorry, but I am waiting on some more pictures for postings. All in all the weekend went very well. Dinner at Fossetts was amazing as usual. Saturday day turned out not to be too chaotic and we just had family arriving at different times. We had enough time in the day to get the house ready and then I helped with appetizers along with Sean and Shane, thank you guys! Kyle and Robert helped set the tables too and the evening turned out wonderfully!! My mom's Puerto Rican meal turned out amazing as usual; her and Kyle worked hard on Thursday and Fiday prior preparing. Sunday morning was his graduation ceremonies, on the lawn and then in UHall for History. Following those we headed to Sipps where we had nce apetizers and other enjoyed wine. Some people left for flights beteween those times. After Sipps we headed home for a much needed nap and then off to meet my dad's family at Bonefish which was fabulous too! Ryan and I even got a couple very nice gifts for Matthew from Whittney and her parents, then the light was back on Kyle for his special day! :)

Yesterday, we had our 28 week appointment! All is good I measure exactly 28cm, which means I am right on track! :) My mom and Ryan both came with me to this one. Ryan hasn't missed an appointment which has been real nice. We got to hear his heart beat which fluctuates between 135 and 150, in the past it has been around 145, so they say that is good. All seems to be going well and I am feeling great still. From now on I will be seeing my docs every other week which is exciting to see the progress. I do need to start watching my weight as I am getting close to the limit because I don't want to have to worry about any complications. Tomorrow I will have to get my 1 hour glucose test & RH Immune Globulin prophylaxis. Hoping and praying I do not fail the glucose test! I should find out early next week those results.

Tomorrow night my mom is taking my bro, Ryan and I to dinner, we are looking forward to that, then on Saturday is when all the family starts to arrive. It will be a crowded house! Saturday night is my bro's graduation dinner with my mom's family and then Sunday morning is his graduation following some time with my mom's family who is still left and then Dinner Sunday night with my dad's family for my bro's graduation. Monday comes around and I think it will just be my sis and mom in town til maybe Wednesday or so. Once everyone is gone Ry and I can start focusing on baby Matthew's room! I cannot wait :)

After this long weekend I am sure I will have plenty of pictures and of me and Matthew in my belly :) I will be sure to post after all the chaos.

This past weekend I babysat both Friday and Saturday nights. The kids were great both nights. I had a good time and enjoyed them! Saturday, I did laundry, some cleaning while Ryan mowed the lawn and took care of the exterior. Then we headed to the baseball game with Suzanne and her little one Owen, he is so cute and such a great baby! One day he will be teaching Matthew all the great stuff. After the game I went to the Boars Head Spa for my Pregnancy Massage. It was good, but definitely could have been better from all I have heard. Sunday, Ryan and I went to Richmond for most of the day looked at about 4 baby stores we do not have in Charlottesville, the last one finally had just what I was looking for, the bedding I originally had registered for, but then was discontinued. I looked all online and could not find it anywhere or anything I liked as much. This store had a few left in stock, so we got to buy it! Yippee, Matthew has bedding now; we just need his furniture :) Ryan and I are pleased and I know I am definitely looking forward to fixing up his room come June! Below is a picture of the bedding. We got the blanket, sheet, bumper, skirt and mobile. I have some ideas in mind for wall decorations which we will get later.

OH and I CANNOT forget, today is Kyle's 22nd Birthday!! Happy Birthday Kyle :)
