Kyle's Graduation Weekend

Sorry, but I am waiting on some more pictures for postings. All in all the weekend went very well. Dinner at Fossetts was amazing as usual. Saturday day turned out not to be too chaotic and we just had family arriving at different times. We had enough time in the day to get the house ready and then I helped with appetizers along with Sean and Shane, thank you guys! Kyle and Robert helped set the tables too and the evening turned out wonderfully!! My mom's Puerto Rican meal turned out amazing as usual; her and Kyle worked hard on Thursday and Fiday prior preparing. Sunday morning was his graduation ceremonies, on the lawn and then in UHall for History. Following those we headed to Sipps where we had nce apetizers and other enjoyed wine. Some people left for flights beteween those times. After Sipps we headed home for a much needed nap and then off to meet my dad's family at Bonefish which was fabulous too! Ryan and I even got a couple very nice gifts for Matthew from Whittney and her parents, then the light was back on Kyle for his special day! :)

Yesterday, we had our 28 week appointment! All is good I measure exactly 28cm, which means I am right on track! :) My mom and Ryan both came with me to this one. Ryan hasn't missed an appointment which has been real nice. We got to hear his heart beat which fluctuates between 135 and 150, in the past it has been around 145, so they say that is good. All seems to be going well and I am feeling great still. From now on I will be seeing my docs every other week which is exciting to see the progress. I do need to start watching my weight as I am getting close to the limit because I don't want to have to worry about any complications. Tomorrow I will have to get my 1 hour glucose test & RH Immune Globulin prophylaxis. Hoping and praying I do not fail the glucose test! I should find out early next week those results.

Tomorrow night my mom is taking my bro, Ryan and I to dinner, we are looking forward to that, then on Saturday is when all the family starts to arrive. It will be a crowded house! Saturday night is my bro's graduation dinner with my mom's family and then Sunday morning is his graduation following some time with my mom's family who is still left and then Dinner Sunday night with my dad's family for my bro's graduation. Monday comes around and I think it will just be my sis and mom in town til maybe Wednesday or so. Once everyone is gone Ry and I can start focusing on baby Matthew's room! I cannot wait :)

After this long weekend I am sure I will have plenty of pictures and of me and Matthew in my belly :) I will be sure to post after all the chaos.

This past weekend I babysat both Friday and Saturday nights. The kids were great both nights. I had a good time and enjoyed them! Saturday, I did laundry, some cleaning while Ryan mowed the lawn and took care of the exterior. Then we headed to the baseball game with Suzanne and her little one Owen, he is so cute and such a great baby! One day he will be teaching Matthew all the great stuff. After the game I went to the Boars Head Spa for my Pregnancy Massage. It was good, but definitely could have been better from all I have heard. Sunday, Ryan and I went to Richmond for most of the day looked at about 4 baby stores we do not have in Charlottesville, the last one finally had just what I was looking for, the bedding I originally had registered for, but then was discontinued. I looked all online and could not find it anywhere or anything I liked as much. This store had a few left in stock, so we got to buy it! Yippee, Matthew has bedding now; we just need his furniture :) Ryan and I are pleased and I know I am definitely looking forward to fixing up his room come June! Below is a picture of the bedding. We got the blanket, sheet, bumper, skirt and mobile. I have some ideas in mind for wall decorations which we will get later.

OH and I CANNOT forget, today is Kyle's 22nd Birthday!! Happy Birthday Kyle :)

Kelly & Matthew at 27 Weeks

Yea! Today is 27 Weeks and still feeling great and loving every moment! Tonight we have our 4 birthing class and it is hard to believe we only have 2 more after this one. And the last one is the tour and baby basics which is most exciting :)

Last weekend Ryan and I went to Fridays after Five and then McGrady's with Suzanne, Andy, Katie, Michael and met some other folks there too. We had a nice time, was the first and last free Friday I had for a while. Saturday, I had a Junior League Event to fix up Starr Hill Park in the morning, then finished some things around the house before leaving with Kyle to head to cousin Cory's college graduation from IUP. We weren't there for long, maybe 12 hrs or so, but it was nice to see everyone. Sunday we got back into town a little after 4pm and then I took a nap and then walked over to Kristen and Scott's place for a Mexican themed bday party for Scott :) Ryan and I had a good time, didn't stay too long as I wanted to get a good nights rest to start off the week. This week has been good, work, laundry and prenatal classes. All is going well!

Kelly and Matthew at 25 weeks

Yes, we are at 25 weeks as of Thursday, April 23rd :)

Last weekend of April

Tonight, I am babysitting an 11 week old baby girl. She is very sweet. Tomorrow I will be babysitting her as well all day and I look forward to going on some walks together with her. I am excited for this wonderful experience. Then tomorrow night we will be going with Suzanne, Andy and their little man, Owen, to see Derik and Theresa's new home. Suzanne has been such a wonderful friend God has blessed me with. She has been terrific for me. Ryan and I enjoy hanging out with the two of them. Sunday we will go to church, run errands and then take Abby to Ryan's softball game.

Weekend of April 18th

Along with recovering from being a little under the weather, Ryan and I did purchase our first car. We got a Honda Pilot, so hopefully not only ready for Matthew to come, but more children down the road. Hopefully this will be a good long lasting car for us. As you can see from the pictures, I decided to stick with White.

We also attended the spring game for a bit and then headed to a wedding at Keswick where Ryan proposed to me. It was a wedding of a donor of VAF. It was very nice and they couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. Sunday we went to church and then I babysat for 3 boys (8 mos, 3yrs, and 5yrs). They are good boys and the two older are great to the baby. This week I have been playing catch up for work. Still feel behind, maybe I will be back to speed by the end of April. We have also started our birthing classes. They are every Thursday through the end of May. Ryan is doing well and we are learning or at least I can say I am learning a lot. I am still enjoying the joys and excitement of pregnancy. I am happy to still say I love being pregnant.

Las Vegas

After our cruise we flew out of LA to Las Vegas to visit Kendra. We stayed at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Kendra was able to stay with us 2 out of the 3 nights which was very nice. She laid out with us at the pool one day as well. I love their wave pool and lazy river. It was very fun, but we were on the go all the time, could have used one more day there probably. We got to see where Kendra lives which is very nice! Kendra was sweet enough to be our chauffeur and drive us around. We had lots of fun, but after the flight back home, that was just long and I think took a toll on me being pregnant. I was exhausted and wasn't feeling my best when I returned. I am doing much better now. And of course happy to be home in our own bed, I did miss our bed and Abby of course. It is always nice to have her back. I am sure she enjoyed every moment with Kyle. Her and Kyle are good buddies. She is grateful for him and his roommates taking her in anytime. We thank you Kyle for all you have done for Abby and us, we truly appreciate it. Mexican Riviera Cruise

Ryan and I took our big vacation this year on a 7 night Princess Cruise to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Los Cabos. The cruise departed and returned into LA. We are not sure when our next big vacation will be, but we enjoyed every moment of the cruise! We relaxed, laid out on the boat walked around the different towns we also actually got into bed early just about every night on the ship. Los Cabos was definitely our favorite. It was nice new looking and very clean. Someday we would like to go back there and maybe spend a week in Cabo to try some excursions. Since I am pregnant I was unable to do most of the excursions offered. On the ship we enjoyed the food and the dinners were great. I got Ryan to try escargot and he loves it along with anchovies I also enjoyed the comedians they had perform on the ship. We truly had a terrific time.
