Ok, I don’t have much time to write and I know I am far behind in our blogging, so I wanted you all to be able to at least see our pictures. In the meantime, I will be writing some more about our August Adventures and soon September. Thank you for your patience.

Today my mom comes into town to be with my bro for his surgery. I have no idea what number surgery this is after it almost being 3 years past since he was struck by a car in a cross walk. I am happy and blessed he is safe and with us today! Friday, we have an Investure Picnic to attend and my mom and bro may or may not be attending as well. It is a time for Ryan to meet more of my colleagues and their families at Investure and say our farewells to those who are leaving us. And then Saturday is the day!!! We get to leave for Jamaica!!! Please pray for us the weather turns out beautifully and we will be back blogging again with more pictures to come!

Last Weekend of July…

Friday after work Investure had a belated baby shower in honor of Lily, Bingham and Kristin’s baby girl. She is so cute. Families and Spouses were all invited. Ryan finally was able to meet most of my coworkers at Investure! We had a nice time and before long we ended up at Friday’s After Five meeting some friends and then to Christian’s, our favorite pizza, and then home to bed. We were in bed at a decent time since we had to both wake up earlier for a Saturday. I volunteered at the hospital at 10am and then had to head out of town for a shower in honor or Sara and Chris in Courtland, VA. Ryan woke up to go tubing down the James with his buddies and he took care of our Abby girl. Sunday, I had a brunch for Sara and Chris and then headed back home to see my hubby.

NEW FURNITURE

YES!!!! We have finally gotten some new furniture!!! We actually have a bedroom set and I no longer have to keep my clothes in the plastic bins. We are so happy and love the full bedroom set as well as the reclining sofa, love seat and recliner chair for our living room. Our bedroom set consists of a king bed, 2 nightstands, dresser and mirror, chest and armoire. Below is a slideshow of the pictures I took.

Well I hope all our readers are doing well! This weekend we have a party for baby Lilly at work, after work on Friday and then Saturday I volunteer and take pictures of newborns and then head to Courtland, VA for another great shower of Sara’s. AND THEN… Next weekend, I cannot believe it, but I will be 28 and Ryan and I will be leaving for Jamaica. I have been waiting for this time for months now!

6:30 p.m. We will drive to the Downtown Mall and meet Nikki and Erin for Some Wine and Appetizers at Siips Wine & Champagne Bar.

8:30 a.m. Get up and get ready for a long, fun party day! - be dressed in bathing suit with whatever you want to wear to shower/tubing. (i.e. pool dress/skirt with bathing suit under)
9:30 a.m. Leave for the Surprise Shower for Erin at Nikki’s house (up the street)
11:30 a.m. We will head back to our house and then leave with Kyle, Ryan and Stewart for Tubing.
Noon We should be at Capps’ to pick up folks/follow folks to James River Runners for tubing
6:00 p.m. Possibly come back home to change and then head somewhere for dinner or grill out somewhere for dinner.
8:00 p.m. Kendra you will head with Kyle to hang with his friends for the remainder of the evening

11:10 a.m. We will leave for church so we can get a seat with Kyle
12:30 p.m. We will drive from Church to have brunch somewhere
3:00 p.m. We will drive to Seasonal Cook (West Main Market) with Erin & Nikki to see a full healthy cooking demonstration and have some wine and tastings as well (will last till about 5:30ish)
And from then on we will chill until we have to take you to the airport about 7:00p.m.

We are excited for you!!!

A weekend with Ryan’s Family

Friday after work, Ryan went to pick up Grammie and came back to our house to get me. We then took Grammie & Abby with us to head to Raleigh and see his parents and brother. We got in close to 10pm and chatted for a bit before heading to bed.

The next morning I left to go see Ashley, Chris and their baby girl, Avery. I got to see her house in Fuquay for the first time along with little precious Avery. She was born not to long after our wedding, so she is about 11 months now. It was so nice to see them!

Around noon I met Ryan and his family at their house and we headed to lunch. When we got back Ryan and Jay played a small round of golf. Jim came along to video tape his sons and I came along to watch my hubby. It was a close game. Now, Ryan has a DVD to watch from his dad’s taping I even starred in it for a time. I tried to hit the golf ball a couple of times.

Sunday, we headed to church and then to lunch with Harriet, Jay and Grammie. And before long we were headed back to make Ryan’s softball game.

Abby had a very fun filled weekend with the in-laws and great Grammie followed by time at the park for Ryan’s softball game.

4th of July on the Lake….

Friday morning Ryan and I woke up early to leave our house by 7:30am for the Hodge’s lake house. We didn’t want to get stuck in traffic or road blocks for the Scottsville Parade that day. We got down at a great time. It took us about 2 hrs and 15min or so. When we arrived we were invited to a neighborhood gathering for the 4th. We also got to see new baby Noah, Ashley & Mike Prince’s little one. He is soo adorable too. Skylar loved him! Not too long after the little gathering did we get to go on the boat. My favorite part. Then we grilled out some chicken and pork and watched fire works. Noah was a bit scared, but it was his first time. However, Skylar loved them, she kept saying “good job daddy, more daddy more” – she is so precious.

Saturday it sadly rained the majority of the day, so we just laid low and then Sunday turned out to be so beautiful we were out most of the day before we had to head home.

All in all we had a wonderful weekend – no complaints :)

For the 4th...

Yesterday, Katie came into town early for Kudirka’s wedding on the 4th. When I got home from work, she came over and stayed at our place. Ryan grilled kebobs and we had that with baked potatoes for dinner. We chatted most of the night and then headed to bed. It was so nice to see her and catch up. Today, Jordan flies into town. Kyle will pick her up and she is staying with him. So, tonight we are taking the two of them to dinner on the downtown mall. I look forward to chatting and hanging out with them. Kyle and Jordan get to watch Abby this weekend while Ryan and I go to the Hodge’s lake house. We are really looking forward to our relaxing weekend on the lake! We get to see Skylar and Caffrey along with Prince’s new addition. I cannot wait!

The Maloney’s House, Point of Rocks, MD

Well we had a fabulous trip to visit Dave, Lisa, little Dylan in Lisa’s cute belly and of course Sam & Emma (their Boston Terriers). I got to feel little Dylan move in the womb – he likes to kick his mommy’s ribs. I cannot wait to meet him and hope he can make it to a football game this fall. Friday night we arrived around 8pm or so and sat out on their patio catching up with a few cocktails. We also took a tour of their beautiful home and saw baby Dylan’s room and new things. And before too long I was headed to bed. I don’t know where Lisa gets her energy from; I was falling asleep before her and she has to be awake for two.

Saturday, we woke up around 9ish to a great breakfast cooked by Dave & Lisa. Then we headed to the outlets in Leesburg – about 15 to 20 min from their place. I bought a couple dresses from Gap and Ryan bought 2 nice polos and a belt. Lisa and Dave of course bought a few very cute baby boy outfits for Dyaln. Then we headed to a very nice winery still in VA called Tarara (http://www.tarara.com/). It was huge and their wine was very good. After the tasting we headed to lunch at some Mexican joint; it was very good too with the best cheese dip for the chips. From there we headed to a brewery called Flying Dog (http://www.flyingdogales.com/), it moved to MD from CO. They actually brew the beer there, so we got to tour the facility. We took some pictures too. Around dinner time we headed to see the Frederick Keys, a minor league team, play baseball (http://www.frederickkeys.com/). Dave and Lisa got us great seats! It was fun and we were able to be there for a few innings (most of the game) before it down poured and they stopped the game. We enjoyed ourselves there. It was a nice family friendly ball park.

Sunday, Ryan and I woke up to another wonderful breakfast and then we got ready and chatted some packed up and headed to lunch with Dave & Lisa. We ate at this cute South Street Under lunch place in downtown Leesburg. Then we had to say our goodbyes. They next time we see them, God willing we will be meeting sweet little Dylan. We are very excited.
