Last weekend of April

Tonight, I am babysitting an 11 week old baby girl. She is very sweet. Tomorrow I will be babysitting her as well all day and I look forward to going on some walks together with her. I am excited for this wonderful experience. Then tomorrow night we will be going with Suzanne, Andy and their little man, Owen, to see Derik and Theresa's new home. Suzanne has been such a wonderful friend God has blessed me with. She has been terrific for me. Ryan and I enjoy hanging out with the two of them. Sunday we will go to church, run errands and then take Abby to Ryan's softball game.

Weekend of April 18th

Along with recovering from being a little under the weather, Ryan and I did purchase our first car. We got a Honda Pilot, so hopefully not only ready for Matthew to come, but more children down the road. Hopefully this will be a good long lasting car for us. As you can see from the pictures, I decided to stick with White.

We also attended the spring game for a bit and then headed to a wedding at Keswick where Ryan proposed to me. It was a wedding of a donor of VAF. It was very nice and they couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. Sunday we went to church and then I babysat for 3 boys (8 mos, 3yrs, and 5yrs). They are good boys and the two older are great to the baby. This week I have been playing catch up for work. Still feel behind, maybe I will be back to speed by the end of April. We have also started our birthing classes. They are every Thursday through the end of May. Ryan is doing well and we are learning or at least I can say I am learning a lot. I am still enjoying the joys and excitement of pregnancy. I am happy to still say I love being pregnant.

Las Vegas

After our cruise we flew out of LA to Las Vegas to visit Kendra. We stayed at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Kendra was able to stay with us 2 out of the 3 nights which was very nice. She laid out with us at the pool one day as well. I love their wave pool and lazy river. It was very fun, but we were on the go all the time, could have used one more day there probably. We got to see where Kendra lives which is very nice! Kendra was sweet enough to be our chauffeur and drive us around. We had lots of fun, but after the flight back home, that was just long and I think took a toll on me being pregnant. I was exhausted and wasn't feeling my best when I returned. I am doing much better now. And of course happy to be home in our own bed, I did miss our bed and Abby of course. It is always nice to have her back. I am sure she enjoyed every moment with Kyle. Her and Kyle are good buddies. She is grateful for him and his roommates taking her in anytime. We thank you Kyle for all you have done for Abby and us, we truly appreciate it. Mexican Riviera Cruise

Ryan and I took our big vacation this year on a 7 night Princess Cruise to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Los Cabos. The cruise departed and returned into LA. We are not sure when our next big vacation will be, but we enjoyed every moment of the cruise! We relaxed, laid out on the boat walked around the different towns we also actually got into bed early just about every night on the ship. Los Cabos was definitely our favorite. It was nice new looking and very clean. Someday we would like to go back there and maybe spend a week in Cabo to try some excursions. Since I am pregnant I was unable to do most of the excursions offered. On the ship we enjoyed the food and the dinners were great. I got Ryan to try escargot and he loves it along with anchovies I also enjoyed the comedians they had perform on the ship. We truly had a terrific time. Weekend with Ryan's Family

Friday we drove down with Kenzie, Grammie and Abby. We had a good time. Abby didn't like sitting in the very back with the luggage on the way down because it was raining and she was terrified of the back windshield wiper. On the way back home she was good though, it was sunny, so she didnt have to worry about the windsheild wiper.


Friday we got in late, hung out at Jay's new home a bit and then went to bed. Saturday we got to sleep in :) which felt great! Then we took our time and left after lunch for the mall. Kenzie bought some cute sandles, and then bought baby Matthew a couple cute things too. Baby Matthew got his fist couple outfits from Baby Gap. Then it began to rain lots more so we left and went to eat terrific mexican at On the Border. Baby Matthew and I LOVE Mexican food! That night we just went back to Jay's and watched some basketball, Ryan and Jay took each other in Ping Pong and I think Ryan won this time. Then we had some ice cream for dessert, yum, and headed to bed earlier this evening. Sunday we went to church and then came back to his parents house to grill out. After lunch we headed back home. Yea, how nice it is always to be home again :)

Now, we have Friday to look forward too! Ryan and I will be leaving work at noon on Friday to drop off Abby with Kyle and then head to the Richmond Aiport for our Flight to LA, Saturday, Cruise to Mexico and then the 11th we retun to LA and fly to Las Vegas where we get to see my SIS! Yea! Cannot wait. We will then be there till the 14th. We are looking forward to our last big vacation before baby Matthew Arrives :)

This up-coming weekend...

Friday after work, Ryan and I will be driving down Grammie, Kenzie and Abby to his parents house in Raleigh. I will get to meet his Aunt for the first time (his mom's sister). And we get to see Jay's new house. Hopefully Abby will behave with Kenzie. The ride up and back should be eventful. We will for sure have a packed car!

21 weeks tomorrow!

Ryan took a picture of me and my belly last night. So, as of last night we were 20 weeks and 5 days. Matthew and I are so happy and grateful to be healthy and happy thus far. I wish Matthew to have a very happy and healthy life. I know he will be a wonderful first baby boy to us! We thank God everyday for such a beautiful gift. We are looking forward to meeting Matthew in person at the end of the summer. I always wonder if he will come out with hair and what color his hair and eyes will be :) This pregnancy has still been so wonderful and we are so happy we have been blessed.

Friday night I went straight from work to babysit for 3 boys (8mos, 3yrs, and 5yrs). They are really great kids! Saturday day, Ryan and I ran some errands with Abby of course, stopped by to see Grammie and finally started our registry at Babies-R-Us. Then we have registered for our stroller travel system (including infant car seat at Target). Then was able to see a little of the baseball game, but it was a bit chilly still for that. That evening Ryan hung out with some buddies and I babysat for 1 little boy. It was a good weekend!

Sunday, I picked up Maddie in the AM and drove to Reston for a baby shower brunch for our college friend Jessica who is having her 2nd in a week or two. We had fun and then of course I got to see Joshua James for a little, he is precious. Maddie and I tried to explain I have a baby boy in my belly and he didnt get it, he said I want to see. So, I lifted my shirt and he said he cant see, so I said he is sleeping and then he said where, ha. Then he thought Abby's bed was our baby boy's car seat. Then of course he wanted to know where Abby was. I love it when they are full of questions! Joshua James is such a sweetie. He will meet Matthew someday and I know be very lovable to him. Then that night Ryan and I went to church and then had dinner at home together!

This morning I was super sleepy after a long weekend. I will try and get Ryan to take another photo of me and belly tomorrow evening. This week, I just have my regular pre-natal classes and then book club with my girls on Thursday after class.

It is a BOY!!!

Just got back from the Doctor's I am 20 Weeks TODAY - Just found out our due date is now actually August 6th, 2009 :) One day, no real difference. All is great and healthy and Matthew is right on track weighing 12 oz now.

ACC Tournament Weekend

This past weekend, I flew out of Charlottesville after work on Friday to go meet my hubby who I hadnt seen since early last Monday AM. I was super excited to go somewhere as I love travelling plus spending the weekend with my honey away is always the best, even though he was working. We had a good time and I got to meet more of his friends he used to work with at the Wolfpack Club most have since gone to other Universities, still doing what he does.
