Sara's Wedding

· Monday, September 22nd I volunteered after work.

· Tuesday, I had a junior league meeting, so had to miss Ryan’s softball game.

· Wednesday, we had dinner with donors at MAS http://www.mastapas.com/; it was very yummy! I loved it!

· Thursday we left for Sara’s wedding weekend. Abby stayed at Grandma & Grandpa White’s while we drove my mom to Wilmington with us. Our weekend was packed with great events.

o Bridal luncheon

o Rehearsal dinner and reception followed at the hotel

o Wedding day with make-up, food and helping Sara get dressed and then the beautiful wedding at Airlee Gardens http://www.airliegardens.org/

o Sunday had a goodbye brunch.

· All the food was amazing!

· Now Sara and Chris are on their well deserved honeymoon in Maui! CONGRATS!

NC State Game

• Monday, Spetember 15th was Ryan’s Birthday. We went to dinner at a new Japanese Restaurant not far from our place. • Tuesday, Ryan had softball and Abby and I went to cheer him on. • Wednesday night I babysat • Thursday we had friends over for some grilled chicken. • Friday, Ryan picked up Grammie and we drove down to Raleigh for the NC State game on Saturday. They beat ECU and it was amazing. I like to say we are good luck for State. Sunday we went to church with Grammie, Harriet and Jay and then lunch at a hiabatchi place. It was a good visit. Then we had to get back to get Grammie home and make it to another softball game.

Weekend Abby & I are on our own ...

Yesterday, Ryan left with the football team for the game in Connecticut. Last night I took Abby running and then got ready and headed up the street to Kristin & Scott’s place. They were hosting a Mexican theme night. I had a good time, but of course missed my honey! Today I slept in, took Abby running which she was way too tired so I had to bring her home sooner than I wanted. Instead I just took my bike out and rode around for a while. Then I finished up some laundry and now I am about to go babysit. I rented a couple movies for me to maybe watch over the next couple of days. Late tonight (early morning Sunday) Ryan will be coming home, but I will be sleeping. I am looking forward to spending some time with him tomorrow.

2nd week in September

Saturday the 6th, UVA beat Richmond and I went to the game a little late since it was raining and I had things to get done around the house. Then Sunday Ryan left to go watch UVA’s women’s golf in Maryland. Sunday night after church I went to the Brooks and Dunn Concert with three of my neighborhood girlfriends. I got free tickets from Ryan’s boss, so I was so excited to see that!

Ryan came back on Monday evening and Monday evening I Volunteered at the Hospital. Tuesday, I had my first provisional Junior League of Charlottesville Meeting. It was good and I met a few more new Charlottesville girls. Junior League is all about forming new friendships, connections along with the big part of helping out our local community by volunteering. I am looking forward to a fun year. Wednesday Ryan had a Richmond Social to attend and I just ate at home and watched the movie Juno I really liked it!

Labor Day Weekend

On a very hot day, UVA did lose to USC. Following the game, Trevor took Ryan, Kyle and I to a nice dinner at The Upstairs in Downtown Charlottesville http://theupstairscharlottesville.com/index.html. The next day, Trevor and his friend left very early for the airport and Ryan and I left in the morning for the Hodge’s lake house. We had a nice time and it turned out to be a nice couple of days.

Then, I must say, my week back was rough. I was definitely tired. I needed a vacation from my vacations. That Tuesday after work, I went to a social for the Junior League of Charlottesville (http://www.jlcville.org/). It was very nice and I have decided I am going to join. So, I have cut my volunteering at the Women’s Place in UVA Hospital in order for me to have additional volunteer time for the junior league activities. I will have meetings every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month for this upcoming year. They run their year like college (from September to end of April or so).

The following weekend (August 15 and 16) Ryan went to Raleigh to golf with his boys. I guess it was time I let him have his man time. I did miss him, but went out with some girls on Friday and then babysat on Saturday. I do miss babysitting, hopefully I can do it more often.

And last weekend it was nice to be home and just hang out. Tonight we have an HOA meeting and then dinner with our neighbors. This weekend my dad’s friend comes into town to stay with us and we will be going to the USC vs. UVA game and Sunday we will leave for the labor day to the Hodges Lake House. It is always nice to go there and relax.

1 Year Anniversary

1 Year Anniversary was amazing. Ryan and I had a wonderful and amazing first year. Think we love each other more and more each and every day. I can speak for myself, that I fall in love with him more every minute. I love him so much and am grateful for such a wonderful and marvelous husband. I enjoy every moment we spend together and love my alone time with him. I am looking forward to another year and many many more with my hubby and the love of my life. We ended the year by having a nice romantic dinner at the Downtown Grille, where we had our rehearsal dinner.

Sara's Weekend

Sara’s Bachelorette weekend, well what can I say that isn’t x-rated. Just kidding…we had a great time. It was so nice to bond again and see our good Hokie girlfriends. We miss hanging with each other. It was great to catch up again! Friday night we had dinner and went out and Saturday day we had a nice breakfast and then did our own thing until the Afternoon Tea, which was amazing. It was all a wonderful weekend. Maddie and I rode the Amtrak there and back which was a fun experience. And as you can probably see I got my hair braided the last day in Jamaica and then I had Maddie help me take them out on the train right back from NYC. As I am sure you can see from the pictures I had an afro, I don’t even know if I looked white. Ha. It was all fun though!

Jamaica

We had a nice 1 year Anniversary Vacation in Negril, Jamaica! We had an hour or so travel delay on the way there and the same on the return. What can you expect, now a days you have to deal with flight delays I guess and I have heard worse, so I think overall the travel experience wasn’t too bad. We pretty much relaxed while we were there. We laid out on the beach, worked out a couple of days, had a couples massage which was amazing, speaking of that I think I need another one now; my back has been killing me for some reason today. On the day of my birthday I actually got a manicure and pedicure. That day it seemed to rain the whole day which was not fun. This island is very green. While we were there it rained every afternoon usually after 2pm or so and sometimes cleared and sometimes didn’t. I understand now why it is so green and more tropical, not as dry as most of the islands I have been to. Everyone we came across was very nice and friendly. The all inclusive was very nice in the fact we never had to sign for anything, or worry about what to eat or drink. We tried all the different restaurants while we were there too. The only “adventure” I guess you can say we did was snorkeling. I think you can say we both always enjoy that. I can tell you the water and beach was amazing; very crystal clear. We did seem some jellyfish, starfish and sting rays. I couldn’t get over how clear and clean the water and sand were. It was definitely beautiful!! It was nice to be able to take this vacation and I think we always wish it was longer. I think we will try a new place another time, but the one thing I think we did learn, was to try and stay at a resort which you fly into the same city. The drive there was not the most exciting, but you live and learn. We look forward to our next vacation whenever and wherever that may be.
