Matthew and Owen

Friday, I watched Owen most of the morning and the 1st couple of hours Matthew would just watch and observe Owen, then he decided it was ok to play with him.  He wanted to do whatever Owen was doing.  Including when it was lunch time Matthew started out in his highchair and then said no he wanted the big boy chair and table like Owen.  So he and Owen did very well eating their lunch at the big table! Owen always tried to teach Matthew how to correctly say words more clear like "Cheese" and "Apple"  They were cute to watch.  Oh and one of the best parts was Owen was into playing ball with Abby, but Abby was called Max multiple times :)  So I guess Abby's nickname is Max to Owen ha. Aunt Kendra's Quick Visit

Kendra came in on a red-eye on Saturday which we took her with us to the UVA vs VT Basketball game where Kendra and Matthew made the Hoo Vision Jumbo Screen :)  First time we have ever been on there!  Then I had some JL Volunteering to do that evening so Kendra hung out with Ryan.  Sunday we went to Church with Aunt Kendra and then, Bodos.  After our full bellies we headed to BabiesRus/ToysRus where Aunt Kendra bought gifts for Lily and Matthew.  Matthew enjoyed his time finding every ball and book in the toy store.  Then we went back for naps and dinner near the airport before our sad "see you later" to Kendra.  Here are a few favorites and full slide show to follow...

Matthew's 18 Month Stats

Head - 19 inches still off the charts but following his own curve :)

Height - 33 inches - between 75th and 90th percentile

Weight - 25 lbs 13 oz - right on 75th percentile

Matthew 18 Months!

I cannot believe Matthew is already 18 Months old today!  Officially 1.5 years :)  Yikes, time is flying.  He is so much fun everyday!  He does get more and more personality which is so fun to watch and now loves talking and tries to repeat what you say :)  He is so much better at feeding himself.  Yesterday he fed himself all his spagehti Daddy made and he loved it!  He goes to the doc on Friday for his 18 month check up and stats, so I will post the info once I get it.  Here are some favorite pictures from 17 month randoms...

The other day we went to chick-fil-a and the lady in line in front of us said to Matthew look at the cow (a large cardboard of the cow) and Matthew said, "Moooo"  I loved it!

St Thomas Vacation with Mimi

We were in St Thomas for a few hours last April while on our cruise.  So, when my mom invited us to go with her we were very excited to see more of it and explore over to St John too!  We really truly enjoyed ourselves and Thank my mom and God for this amazing beautiful opportunity!  It was so nice to have my mom there especially since Matthew is now walking and on the move.  He definitely kept her busy :)  Ryan and I were able to enjoy some alone time since she was there to help!  Thank you mom for this fun vacation before our baby girl arrives!  Matthew really enjoyed his time too.  He loved walking on the beach :)  We hit the beach most days, had a tour of the island and went to St John by Ferry twice (saw 2 different beaches there) and of course had some great dinners thanks to my mom!  Here are a few of my favorite photos and then the full slide show follows. 

Matthew gets a baby SISTER!!!

Yes, we just found out today we are getting a baby girl come May!  We are sooo very excited.  Thank you all for your prayers!  We are sooo very blessed to have this amazing miracle from God!
