Me at 40 Weeks and 1 Day with Lily

So Lily decided not to make any further progress after 38 Weeks.  She even decided to stay in after my membranes were stripped.  So I was induced the day after my due date! Here is me at 40 weeks and 1 day!

Sleep Issues with Matthew

Ever since the first week of May we have had sleep issues with Matthew.  It all started with him wanting us to rock him to sleep which we NEVER do and then he was ok as long as we were in the room till he fell asleep.  And when we left him to cry he would fall asleep standing up as these photos show of us taking a picture of the video monitor.  Then a few days later he realized and figured that he could climb out of his crib.  Bad for us, so then I went to get a sleep sack so he would wear that instead of his blanket and of course then he decided to just  throw out his blankies and paci so we would come back in and give it to him.  He now thinks this is a game, but he seriously doesn't sleep.  So I think we have to go back to let him cry it out and the only way to seem to do that is by getting the crib tent so he doesn't climb out and hurt himself.  I really do not think he is ready for the toddler bed yet and we definitely are not ready to put him in that.  So, we are going to try this crib tent tonight and see how it goes (supposed to keep him from climbing out, safe and keep him from throwing objects out as well.  I was one of those mom's which thought the crib tent was crazy, but last night was horrible - no sleep between me and Ryan with Matthew constantly up wanting us in his room.  Hopefully  this behavioral issue which I think is really his problem will end soon.  I have spoken with a few pediatricians including his own as well as advice from other mom's so I am ready for my sleep back at least till Lily arrives.  I cannot believe this has lasted over two weeks already.  I do not know why he had to pick this month to do this, but I sure hope and pray things get better with him!

38 Week Appt

1 cm dilated, -1 Station and 50% effaced (Lily is clearly making progress and she is already ahead of Matthew when my water broke with him :)   

We cannot wait to meet her!

Lily's Room is complete

Lily's room is complete.  We are ready for her arrival!  I have not yet moved the rocker from Matthew's room as we still use that to read to him for now.  Plus she will be sleeping with us in the bassinet for the first few months :) After that we will make the change.  Here are a few pictures.

Morning Visit with Maddie

Sunday morning after church, Matthew and I drove to Maddie's to visit with her and the kids.  Matthew loved following Joshua James and doing whatever he was doing :)  Matthew loved the tractors and the cows.  The baby calf moo'd to him and so of course Matthew said moo back!  So cute.  He had fun, but I do think liked getting in the tractors best!  Then after the walk down the driveway to the farm, Matthew played inside with Juliet and they had some of their own conversations since the are only 6 mos apart.  So very cute :) Thanks to Maddie she fed us lunch too!  It was a nice visit and one we should do more often!
